You gotta love the EU
Regardless of whether you agree all their political stances, you gotta love the heart of the EU. We have a govt that you can't trust will give a food and water after a hurricane, and over in Europe their govt is being 'torn apart' over how much exposure to the sun you can get on the job.

I can't imagine even approaching our callous govt with a sun exposure problem, their response would be "I'm busy playing golf, get away from me with your problems you Extra-Crispy motherf***er!'

The Eu's one of the worst gov around, it fast becomin a facist regeme, they have pasted hundreds of new laws, (that no one even know or cares or takes notice of, or even enforced) it's exactly what England stood against in WW2 it disgraces those who died to stop Hitler.
Of course the French want us to stop celebrating Trafalgar day which is outrageous, and europe is just like the Napolenic times all over again, the French trying to take over europe again.

"Don't mention the war"
German Tourist: Will you stop mentioning the war
Basil: Well you started it
German tourist: No we didn't
Basil: Yes you did, you invaded Poland

I am an American so I only have the outsiders view of the EU. I will take your word on their overbearing attitude. It's just funny to contrast them to our current govt, who suffers from the exact opposite problem of the EU.

That is the most riciculous bill up for vote yet. Sh*t like this clogging up the lawmakers is why nothing ever gets done. You are going to make employers responsible for the health of outdoor workers? HA ! First of all, outdoor workers probably choose thier work because they hate working indoors in a "cubicle". They like the sun and nature and the overall euphoria of working outside. Everyone knows the risks of overexposure to the sun. If you are that worried about it, wear an f'n hat or put on some sunscreen! Jeez, talk about another blow and obsticle for private enterprise, no wonder oneone wants to start thier own business or have employees. If you don't like working outdoors or are that worried about it, get a job in tha mall!!

Yeah they have passed some good laws but as alofwar states they do make up some really fucking stupid ones as well; they do it just to pass the time I think.

The more laws you institute, the less freedom (and likely more bullshit) you have... I am not the hugest fan of the whole big brother idea.
Just let the corperations do whatever they want. I am sure they will do the right thing to keep thier workers safe.
Bullshit, we need laws and strict enforcement.

I am not against laws period. I am against mindless/kneejerk/outdated/media fed laws. Every state in the union has these kinds of laws, not to mention the union itself as well. Try not to read too much into such a short post

Perhaps. But the point of my post was that at this moment, it looks like the EU at least cares for it's people. maybe too much, like an overprotective mother.
The US government (at this moment) doesn't seem to give a shit about the people, kinda like a deadbeat dad.
