Another woman getting tasered video

Sun Sep 04, 2005 10:05 am

I am just a big fan of taser videos, it's good thing that I'm not a cop, I'd be tasering people all day long (until they fired me).
Drive too fast--get tasered.
Talking on the cell phone---get tasered.
Have that 'tazer me' look on your face---get tasered

Once again, a woman who just doesn't realize that even she has to do what the police tell her to do. Completely. Without hesitation. Or running off at the mouth. Seriously.

Yeah, the cops could have handled it differently, but how else is this woman going to learn to OBEY POLICE COMMANDS!!!

Another fine, upstanding citizen.

Yeah, the cop standing on the drivers side mentions that they need to arrest her for DWI.

that was his wife. :)
I think first they should have asked her if she was pregnant. :(

Uh. You people are sick. That is fucked up. I don't at all see the need to taser people and I sure didn't see it there. It's not safe to do so. I hope this woman has a good lawyer.
People do NOT have to do everything a policeman tells them too until they are under arrest. Yes. He put her under arrest just before she was tasered. No, it was not necessary to use that amount of force on her.

If you listen, you won't get tazzed. Period. Good for her. Maybe next time she will behave herself.

Sun Sep 04, 2005 12:30 pm

It is not ok to tazer someone because they won't listen. There was no threat from her. Tazing is a response that should be in response to a threat. Not because you don't listen. Should I taze all of you because you're not listening to me? ARE YOU LISTENING NOW!?

You do have to obey a police officers commands--within reason. That's an actual law PraiseAllah, you better realize that now and not later when some cop tells you to step outside of your car, or hand him your ID, etc.
Failure to obey the lawful command of a police officer is a misdemeanor.

Sun Sep 04, 2005 12:34 pm

Punishable by death? Adjudicated by the police officer and then carried out by him as well? Or is a Court of Law in that process somewhere?

Billy clubs make for much better drama.

Wanna bet you don't have to get out your car when told? And no, you don't have to be arrested first.

Personally, I think they were way too patient.

A misdemeanor is not a capital crime in America. An officer is authorized to arrest you for a misdemeanor though. And if you resist arrest, the officer is authorized to use non-deadly force, such as grappling, striking with baton, pepper spray, or taser.

Sun Sep 04, 2005 12:39 pm

Exactly... you DO have to listen to the police officers. Allah... let me ask you something. do you find anything wrong with thanking a kid for doing something before they actually do it? Like " Put your shoes on Johnny, we are leaving for school. Thank you". Just curious.

And by the way. Just for the record, I personally find your nickname extremely offensive. I know it is not up to me here at ECGN... and that is fine. But I just don't like it.

Let's not have personal attacks, now,it's just a discussion.
SERENITY NOW!!!!

Sun Sep 04, 2005 12:42 pm

I am not saying she didn't have to get out of the car. In fact, she was getting out. I said people don't have to do everything a police officer tells them to do. I'm not going to defend that position because I know it is false. She was cooperating. If the officer had backed off a little and let her extricate herself from the car, THEN arrested her, no tasering needed to have happened. Instead you have one guy who can't wait to taser her. And to be pefectly clear. A taser is a weapon. It is a use of force and should only be used as a last resort and as an alternative to deadly force. That situation called for neither. It is very disturbing to hear you people talk about it like this and to know that it has been used in many situations where patience and talk would have sufficed. Or maybe I should say what the hell, and start tasering you all like I said before. After all, you really aren't listening to me.
