I did add 512 ram for a total of a gig a while back and I also had to add a 6600GT to play BF2. I run it at medium/low settings, but I'm not really a graphics nut.

$2160? I think you got ripped off..

Also, the 2800+ isn't 2.25Ghz, its 2.09. You can reach 2.25Ghz if it's overclocked though (I've done it).

These are the parts I built mine with (similar) for only $733:

CPU: AMD Athlon 2800+ XP w/333Mhz FSB

CDROM: Lite-On 48x24x48x16 CDRW/DVD Player
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB
Case: Aspire Case w/450W PSU and 2 case fans

These are the parts I upgraded:

Memory: 1GB (2 x 512MB) Corsair XMS DDR400 Dual Channel
HD: 2 x 36.7GB Western Digital Raptor Drives at 10,000RPM

Built my newest one last year just before I went AWOL... Pretty sure the x800pro was the most expensive thing I put in it at the time. All put together the wee beastie is probably worth $1000 - $1200. Of course that is before I dig into it tomorrow to finally upgrade my hard drives. After that I figure $0 should be about right.

My PC's a DELL XPS home edition, got it about a month ago for about 3 grand. (how good is it? I really don't know. But I do know that it's certainly good enough to run Bf2.) :) http://www.ixbt.com/short/2k4-11/Dell_XPS4.jpg

(I'm so stupid I don't even know how to insert an image):P
