I REALLY hope this goes back to the gameplay of the original X-Com's.

Yeah, I'm actually playing Terror from the Deep now because its been a while and I never finished it. Apocalypse was alright, but if I remember correctly it started in real time by default rather than turn based, which kinda pissed me off.

I just found a tool that allows you to play the originals on WinXP with sound(I couldn't get sound to work).

My brother had the collectors edition and there were some files you had to download and move to whatever folder to get everything running right. I could probably find the forums that had them.

The original X-Com is the best IMO. TFTD is fun too because its basically an underwater mod of X-Com. Apocalypse I might play again to refresh my memory, but I remember it feeling different than the originals.

X-Com the original? (I forget which ones I played) was great! I'm looking forward to this game now.. I had no idea it was even being worked on but the game looks really good.
Along the same vein in terms of gameply.. anyone play any of the Fallout series of games? Man.. I loved the one I did play. Hell of a story and very addictive gameplay.

I have been doing some more reading on this game.

It is the sequel to the last one, which was panned for not even being close to the originals.

Apparently there is one being worked on by Xcom fans!!! It is to come out in 2006 and is said to be true to the originals gameplay!!!
