Just been informed that the Iraque army has captured 10 American soldiers. They also said in the news that the American goverment asked the media to keep this quiet for the US people. In an interview with the captured soldiers you could see some of them were hurt and a few were killed. May they rest in peace.

For now, most of what the media is telling us has to be taken with a grain of salt. The propaganda war is in full affect on both sides, more so on the Iraqi side I would say. For instance, Umm Qasr was supposedly "taken" on friday but yet there was a "4 hour" firefight with remaning forces there today - Sunday.
This one is the best yet. I was listening to an interview with a western journalist on NPR. She's in Baghdad. Last night during another air raid she and her crew were rousted from their rooms by Iraqi security forces and taken to a part of town to be shown a "fresh" bomb hit on some "civilian" buildings. The Iraqis claimed that many civilians were killed or injured there. However, she said she didn't see any casaulties being pulled out of the rubble. So, she spotted a man standing nearby and asked him about it. He said that no one has lived there for months. DOH!!! I guess the Iraqis forgot to include him in on the ruse.
She also mentioned one thing that is pretty amazing and shows how accurate the bombing really is. Baghdad still has power, running water, and working telephones.

"Well, we're not just gonna let you walk out of here."
"Who's we sucka!?"
"Smith and Wesson and me."

In Baton Rouge local florists are giving the yellow ribbon away. Do not see much protest in Louisiana. Some at Tulane UNiv, but they are mostly northerners that could not get into NYU.
Oh, floppy did you hear that a unit of us soldiers captured a chemical weapons factory and are holding the general in charge. more to come.

With that statement, you prove what I and others have been saying - which is that most of those against this action only oppose it for some kooky hatred of Bush.
Thanks for supporting the troops, though.

Floppy, first they said less then 10, then they said 10, then they said they didn't knew... now it seems it were 50
and i fully support our troops (belgian) cause the only thing they're good at is medical assistance...
i don't support any attacking forces AT ALL!! so surely not the american and british...
(btw. iraq captured a helicopter => wrong parking?
)
also farginmofo, in America they don't show you guys all those movies about wounded americans... do they think you guys are stupid and you don't know about them??
and last night they've hit a BUS!! a moving B U S with syrian people, hit it with precissie-missiles from an airplane... if they hit a building near a military installation: ok, but a bus isn't something you hit by accident ok?
also, now they're suxing because russia sold some weapons to iraq... well they sold weapons too so they can better shut up... russia didn't even sold weapons but equipement...

and Doug, for me the troops are also guilty just like bush...
i hate soldiers and i hate more the excuse from: we were following orders... if you defend your country i don't care but if you attack...
(btw. the guy that trew a nade in officers tent: i'm glade he told want's up his mind, but it was a bit to extreem his way... and he could have thought about it more early before...)

[WEF]Herr Renz,
In the United States we are not a closed society to outside news. We have satelites that allow us to watch the news all over the world. Japan, germany, and just about anywhere we want. You perhaps should be a liitle more informed and look at how many people have internet access in the US. I was watching german news last night, like to see what the other side airs on news.
As far as the sale of technology from other countries. It will make it a little more difficult, but the end will be the same. We all knew that there would be casualties. Our resolve will not change. The war will be won and it is as simple as that. The US and UK have been lucky to be able to fight a ground war with such few losses. It is shocking to us as civilians, but the military knew this and was aware this would happen.
The real question is :How many innocent civilians have been killed in this action, compared to the amount killed under iraq's current regime? No need to answer we all know the answer!
