On friday morning, a few friends and i biked on the Katy Trail for 60 miles. For your info, the Katy Trail is an old rail line from a defunct service that was put to use as a safe and well maintained stretch of path for people to use for biking and walking/running.
It took freaking all day, but the reward of sitting down at the end of the night, legs and ass hurting like hell... (ass hurts from the bike seat you pervs) and having a few brews around a campfire was awesome. If there is any type of place near where you live, that could be converted to this type of state park, i highly recommend writing your state officials to see what you can do to make this thing happen.
Of course i live in Missouri and people think its a po-dunk state, and for the most part it is. All along the trail after you leave the outskirts of St. Louis/St. Charles area you see a lot of farms and a lot of the Missouri River (which feeds into the Mississippi and was the starting point for Lewis and Clark's expidition after the Louisiana Purchase). There is a small sense of understanding that i got from watching the farmers tend to their land.
But anyway, here is a link to the website which gives a ton of info about it. Some of the local boys probably know about it and i definitely urge you guys to take advantage of this kind of opportunity.

A few weeks ago, i posted about the new bike i bought and found there was some response to it and i also noted the thread where people were talking about diet and exercise. After riding several times, probably about 190 miles or so including the trip, i've noticed i feel a lot better in the mornings and have a a ton of energy throughout the day. You guys, if you have the opportunity to ride, i highly suggest it.
Anywho, thanks for reading and you can now go about your business....
