Civ 4 Release Day!

Tue Oct 25, 2005 12:35 pm

Is tommarow, those bastards like messing with our heads, just one more turn, just one more day. Anyone planing to get the game up for a Large Map Comp Stomp? We can do shared Civ if you want, Id like to try that. Anyways a Large Comp Stomp in Civ 3 Takes about 3 days or close to 18 hours to finish, let me know if your intrested. FYI It will be quicker for Civ 4, but chances are it will strech over two days of 4-6 hour sessions.

BTW, Hows everyone doing? I havn't talk'd to anyone here in ages!!

Lets see if we can get a 4 person team, going against the rest of the Civs, so it would be us vrs 14 solo civs, sounds like it will be fun. Or we can do 4, vrs 3 4 civ teams and 2 solo civs. So Many Options I just want to play!!! Another intresting game mode we should try is 18 Civs on the smallest map possible. It will be a city state game, with everyone basicly only having one city, unless they conquer another Civ, should be insanly intresting, esp watching Rome if they ever get there hands on some Iron.

FYI, it is possible to play 17 other players in multiplayer now, The only limit to the amount of civs in a game is the amount of civs in the game, if that make sense. Also, for anyone who doesn't know, or tried Civ multiplayer in the past, Civ 4 was built ground up for mulitplayer, it wasnt some tact'd on expansion like Civ Net, or Play the World. When they started play testing the game, they did it all in a multiplayer setting and not in single player. OHHH I so can't wait. Why oh Why did they have to trick us saying it would be out today. Anyway please post if you up for this.

Edit: Paragraphs ARE my friends

all you have to do is build the right stuff and keep troops in the city. also the further away from the capital a city is the more corruption you get. I never really had much of a problem with corruption even with a democracy.

the only game i've played remotely like it is AoE 2. Is it user friendly which will make me want to keep playing it? or can it be frustrating to just pick up and learn?
