Does anyone still play Rome:Total war?

I had allot of fun playing it out of boredom.

I was under seige and only had wooden walls so I knew I was fucked. They had 2x the men I did going into the fight (and 3 batteringrams.) I was able to kill one before it knocked a wall down, but couldn't get the other two before they got to the gate and wall.

The battle goes on and on, back and forth. At first I have the advantage then he does, then I do then he does. Then he starts using his chariots on meele. I started to go into a route so I sent my horsemen in to hold as they ran away.

Next thing I know they are overrunning 1 of my ballistas, and 90% of my infantry is killed in the route, and I gather what most of my forces I have left in the town square. Only problem

Some of my archers are being chased willey nilley, they arn't routing I just told them to pull back, and I say fuck it, if they must die at least they will kill 1 chariot.
Next thing I know after I tell my archers melle the chariots the chariots start routing! They kil the whole chariot unit, then the troops behind them start routing, then it is a chain reaction!

Just after that colomn starts routing Some enemy troops just finish comming up the hill to meet my ballista which just finished loading, and WOOSH at nearly point blank like 10 heavy swordsmen after blown off the map. they go into a route. THen the guys behind them start routing, their routing colomn meets the colomn routed by my archer, and my archers kill off about 3 of their units, and I have my general (The only one left in my heavy horsemen) chase the rest down. LOL

I couldn't start laughing after this. It was just so funny. :rotflmao:

Elephants are the most hilarious thing in the game. Them and the shrieking hos.

I used to play this, but traded it in. I prefer turned base. It was a fun game while I played it, though. I liked the 'turn based + real time' elements.

Civ is just my strat game of choice.

If it is to easy for you, you can always play it on easy mode.

Allot of the ingame texts help so much, you can right click everything and the ingame advisors give allot of help on units and tactics.

My favorite advice is
"Try aiming your artillary at the enemy general's unit. Big rocks respect no rank" :rotflmao:
