i think that those people still prefer that instead of death...
Don't be so quick to assume that. I have met people who would like to see their lives ended but do not have the (whatever you want to call it) to end it themselves... Not a majority obviously. Just thought that since we were talking about assumptions... They are never totally accurate.
Why do the kids keep posting their ignorance on this subject? And yes, that's aimed directly at you Herr Renz, you are a kid and extremely ignorant, if not outright stupid..I'll give you the benefit of the doubt though and go with ignorant.
The US is not in Iraq for oil, we're not there for more land, or any of the other bs reasons the anti-war propaganda machines have put forth.
The US is in Iraq for 2 reasons..
1) to dismantle the regime of Saddam Hussien and remove any and all WMD that said regime has before they get used, AGAIN, on more civilians.
2) to liberate the people of Iraq from a regime that represses them, kills them, tortures them, and then gets mean and nasty with what's left over. Think that's bs? Go and read what the people of Iraq themselves say about this regime and what it does, and what they want the US to do about it.
Personally, I think these are both excellent reasons for the US to be in Iraq doing what we're doing.

Seriously what would you do???
I know I just opened a new can of worms![]()
I bump this question, as it was a good one.
First off, I would ask to myself:"Why are we attacked?"
I would research the answers of this question thoroughly and not make a quick conclusion that is fed by anger.
Based on that answer I would take action in a way that its suited for a civilised and humane country. This does not necessarily have to be a war.
So, ask yourself: "Why are we attacked?"

Completely incorrect. It is not racism that the US is not a Muslim majority country. If that were the case, then the Netherlands, Belgium etc etc would fall under that same category.
You really seem to have a hard time putting your thoughts in any kind of discernable format.

You are correct, sometimes war isnt necessary. And then, sometimes it is. Simply taking down a regime like Saddam's is worthwhile in and of itself, but add to that the freeing of a great people, and also accomplishing a goal in putting out a clear message that the world will no longer live with terror are others. Combine all of these reasons, and you get the idea of what we are doing.
As to why, I answered in your other thread, but also, sometimes there really is no "Why" further than someone hates what you stand for, and in turn, hates you. To many (Especially those of a medieval mindset) this is proper justification to kill a few thousand of your civilians.

Beast, it Sounded to me like you believe he is racist because he said the US was a wealthy non Muslim majority country.
So I pointed out that if the US is racist for being such (ie Christian majority), then the Netherlands, Belgium etc were as well.
I am quite well aware that the Netherlands is not Arabic.

What if some other country decided that the US was a threat to their freedom, their way of life?
What if the same country objected to us putting Flourine in our water supply, thus poisoning millions of Americans?
Proven fact: Flourine causes cancer, plus it is an important ingredient in nuclear devices.
Would that country be justified in sending in cruise missiles and bombs to save us?
Would that country be justified in sending in troops to liberate us from our oppressors?
This is the thinking behind this war. This is the justification.
Afterall, we are the judge, jury, and now executioners. We are the moral authortiy on the planet, right?
