A quick search turned up this. I have never heard of it either.

From a description of "Brokeback":
"When Aguirre dispatches them to work as sheepherders up on the majestic Brokeback Mountain, they gravitate towards camaraderie and then a deeper intimacy."

ummmm.. yea... I think I will skip this one.. <he goes to barf in a trash can>

French fries with cheese in hit gravy?? Sorry, to me it sounds as tempting as ham and jelly sandwiches

I'm not even remotely close to being Canadian and I know what poutine is. Absofreakinglutely delicious! Yeah, it's essentially "cheese fries with gravy" or "gravy fries with cheese" or "smothered and covered fries" but the main difference is that the cheese is in little chunks and not completely melted (at least when I've had it).

Mmmm... now I wish the theater sold that instead!

Now, forget about the gay cowboys and go see Narnia!

If the cheese is melted they call it "disco fries".

I'll settle for candy, popcorn and films that do not involve "gay" and/or "cowboy".

=ender= have you seen Narnia? I wouldn't mind to go see it. I remember the old BBC production of it. I don't remember all of it, as I was around like 5 years old when I saw it on TV. Parents still have it on VHS tapes.

The name "Disco Fries" is about as cool as this cowboy movie sounds.

Hence, I shall continue to call it "fries with cheese and gravy" or "gravy fries with cheese" or "cheese fries with gravy" or "covered and smothered fries."

But damn it all to hell! Now I want some poutine!

My friends and I used to go to all night diners after being out at the movies or whatever and order coffee and cheese fries with a side of gravy to dip them in. Without knowing it, I guess we were eating poutine all along! :)

I'm dying to see this movie and I keep hearing great things about it. I'm curious/nervous to see what they did with the "stone table" scene especially.

Poutine is teh shit ;)

I am planning on seeing Narnia and Kong before the end of the week starting Thursday.

OMG you weren't supposed to know about poutine. It's Quebec shameful secret. It's absolutely disgusting and will make you feel as if you'd just swallowed a brick whole. It also explains why we can't keep straight faces when we talk about the president of Russia.

Now I want you all to look at this little
device here for a second...
