living in NJ for 20 years, I will have to see this

I don't know if the movie will be any good, I really didn't enjoy 'Jersey Girl' at all.
I am glad to see 'Randall' again though. It 's too bad Smith had a falling out with the guy that played him, I really thought the guy was funny as hell, amateur or no. His delivery was weird and different. Looks like he's back in Smiths good graces again.

cool ! They should do it in black and white like the first one though.

I'm a pretty big Smith fan but i've never heard of a rif between him and Jeff Anderson. Rumor has it that he wrote Clerks 2 to get back to his roots but also as a promise to Jason Mewes that if he stayed off of "drugs" meaning heroin that'd he write another Jay and Silent Bob movie.

I was lucky enough to go to the Quick Stop a few years ago, visit the movie rental place next door and go to Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash... we made it our skew out into jersey while visiting New York.

Supposedly, they are going to have Clerks II in black and white and color on the DVD but thats just what i hear. I've been uber-pumped ever since news broke about Smith writing the story. He was asked about a sequel to Dogma and he said its a posiblity but not very likely.

Yeah, I've visited the Secret Stash in Redbank, NJ a couple of times. It might have moved since then, I saw it when it was acrossed the street from the music store which was shown as the studio entrance to Holden and Banky's place in Chasing Amy. One time I went there and Walt Flanagan was working the counter. He seemed like he was kinda depressed, not a dick, but just sort of down in the dumps.
Smith talks briefly about Jeff Anderson on the commentary for one of his DVDs, I think Mallrats. Basically said Anderson started taking himself too seriously as an 'actor' all of sudden, got pushy. That's why you don't see him at all, even in a cameo, until Dogma, but you see Dante in a little cameo in all of them (I think?). I know he's in Mallrats, Dogma, Chasing Amy, J&SBSB anyway.

I am a big Kevin Smith fan. Clerks is one of my favorites. I did not see Jersey Girl because I did not want to be disappointed. I saw Kevin Smith do a talk a few years back locally. It was great.

Did you notice Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee are in the Clerks 2 trailer? They ae in a new sitcom currently, My Name is Earl. I think it is a really good show.

I loved the directors voice over on Donnie Darko with Kevin Smith and it's director richard Kelly that was what dvd extras should all be like.
