Airsoft

Wondering if anyone else (besides myself) plays? If not, it might be something you're interested in (if you can tear yourself away from being in front of your computer for a few hours/days).

Playing in your backyard/basement/dorm isn't the real experience. You need to find a local MilSim (Military Simulation) team to hook up with.

Being in the US, you have the opportunity to attend games with more props than even we use. Google "Operation: Irene III" and see what's available in the US. Also, you guys have a lot more opportunity to play with real military personnel on real military bases. For example, on of the regular team leaders for OP: Irene is Col. Danny McKnight (Ret.) - as in the *real* Danny McKnight from the movie "Blackhawk Down".

Ive been kinda interested in this kind of stuff. I just dont know enough folks in my area that play. Got some cheep 34$ gun when I was in Florida that I mess around with in my back yard.

Just no one else to shoot is all lol.

For indoors (CQC) we prefer stock power, or a maximum of 350 fps so no one gets hurt.

For outdoors we use 425 fps.

Bolt action sniper rifles are 500 fps, with a minimum engagement distance of 20 yards. Inside 20 yards, snipers have to use their pistol (if they have one) for safety reasons.

All velocities measured using .2g bb's.

$34 is not going to get you a decent gun, but lucky for you, you guys live in the land of cheap airsoft. Here in Canada, the guns cost double what you guys would pay. It's not uncommon to pay $500-$700 for a single decent gun, and I have 5 (I've recently downsized from 7).

HOLY JEBUS . That is crazy >_<. O_O Wow, wish i had one of dem over 400 ones. Im only gettin one gun that goes over 330 FPS. I guess a person my age wouldn't wanna be usin a gun that shoots over 400 FPS or bein shot at .

I just have an airsoft pistol. Me and my friends play pistols in the woods and in eachother's houses sometimes. The cool thing is that the bb's don't leave marks on the walls unless you shoot the wall from like 3 feet away. Then after a round, you can pick up the bb's and reuse them if you want. I love playing in houses, so many places to hide. Put on a t-shirt and shorts and your off. Playing at night is even better cause you can have rooms with lights on and lights off. If you haven't tried playing in a house, you have to try it.
