Video iPods are cool in many ways, but I don't see the market for them like for the basic audio iPods. If they don't mind selling a much smaller number of them than the Nano, that's fine, but if they expect the video iPod to sell comparable number as Nano, they might be hitting a real misstep. Jobs has been hitting one homerun after another, but he might be losing touch. Then again I thought cameras embedded in cell phones was the dumbest thing I had ever seen! ;)

I like my 60gig video, I don't really watch videos often, I got it mainly because 4GBs wasn't enough.

They better add a stylus, cause I wouldnt want to pay a few hundred for a device that i have to use my finger all over the touch screen.

I hope they won't use the screen for the physical input interface as even with a stylus you'll end up ruining the screen faster -- scratches and smudges everywhere.

i have a 60 Gb (without video) and love it, although the one thing that drives me crazy about my iPod is that there are some wild volume variations between some songs...even with the sound checker on, it still goes from silent to blaring at times...

I have a few songs like this. I just changed their volume setting individually.

I found that when ripping older songs (like from the 70's, early 80's), even at the best quality setting, and using sound leveler options, they still sound a little less loud and less crisper than songs being released today. It just has to do with the technology of the day. Even with digitally reinhancement, they can only sound so good.

I have done this too, but the difference between many songs is very large...I was just surprised...it takes a lot of work to change the volume for most songs...

Yeah, it was a pain in the ass to get the settings right.

Slaughter, I do use Limewire. I download the songs off of Limewire and then move them to my iTunes and put them on my iPod. I've only bought one song from the iTunes music store and that was because it was rare and I couldn't find it on Limewire anywhere.
