So would some of the enlightened ones (siren?) like to explain to the masses the idea of Xenu and his trip to earth (was that covered in your class?) - Thats the part that makes me giggle.
It's kinda sad, but it sounds like a few hotties from hollywood live this
katie holmes
Jenna Elfman
? (the girl who plays the wife on 'King of Queens')

Would that be the same Bono who spends 90 percent of his time whining about how we are selfish and aren't doing enough to help the needy while simultaneosly owning at leaast 6 multimillion dollar mansions?
To be honest in the material we read an intergalactic warlord was never mentioned. It only outlined "cosmic" catastrophes that spawned "thetans" (humans) and his take on creation has been equated to the hindu mythology of creation and speculation isn't sure if he means the cosmic struggle as literal or figurative. The text book I have focuses on dianetics and social betterment/reform programs and the ethics and justice systems that exist in scientology, it never discussed the "spaceship" stuff most likely because of a lack of information about it.
I left my panties with B.J. Blaskowitz.
It's true that some will solely focus on the negative aspect of the mans life. I find people like that do so with about everything and everyone they discuss.
I wonder if maybe I've interpreted the wrong persona of the man. I was under the impression that he has been somewhat of a hero in international struggles against such things as Apartheid in South Africa and also with many other issues. Should he give every dime away? I would imagine the answer to that would be about as different as each one of us is from the other.
For me my post was nothing more than a quote that elaborated on the idea that organised religion and it's collection of money from it's patrons is questionable at the very least.

I know this is getting off the subject, but since Bono and his money came up...
You want to talk about a great human being? IMHO it's hard to top Mother Teresa. (sp.) Born into a rich family, gave it all up to become a nun and work in the one of the poorest parts of the world. Dedicated her life to work with the poor in India.

How can you top that for a great human being? Scientology... it's a cult.

At first, I thought to myself "Havoc is off his freaking rocker. That doesn't sound like him in the least." I was all set to write something about how insane you might be.
It took me a second to realize you were talking about Bono and not L. Ron Hubbard.

And Sonar, I so agree about Mother Teresa.
Move as a team, never move alone. Welcome to the Terrordome!
Ever play Fallout 2? They made a crack at them with a group called the "Hubbology" or "Hubbologists" and they use 2 famouse movie actors to spread the cult. Oh yea they had a space ship they wanted to make to. Also some kinda like brainwashing technique for new members. You could become a member or go against them, I Found it quite rewarding when I was put on a contract hit to kill the leader lol It wouldn't suprise me that people like Travolta are just on the payroll to help spread crackpot ideas.
