Custom maps

ok, i'm very interessted by this cause i play a lot of them... i always download the new ones at rtcwfiles.com 
what's your favourite custom map(s)??
you can always post it if you made one yourself, i'd love to try it
i'm too lazy to makje maps myself so...
for my favourites i've :
-Castle Siege (love it to jump from those high towers)
-Tundra (very good map, also good to play with 64 players)
-dzm_Trickjump (downloaded this one yesterday, tryed it 7 hours and there're still 4 jumps i can't make...
the jumping is a bit matrix style... 
)
hope to hear some good maps i don't yet know...

I once downloaded a Beach CP map, and instead of stealing documents and taking them to the radio room, the objective this time is to capture 6 flags that are scattered about all over the map.
It's quite good fun for a small group of people.

I've been thinking about doing a custom map weekend. I'd stick a rotation in the cfg file and it'd have maybe 4-5 custom maps in it. I'd take em and zip em up and put em in the downloads section.

idd, i forgot kungfugrip, lots of fun i had with that map
but is Ice a custom? i got it with my "game of the year" edition so i think it's an official...
never really "played" the two others cause i din't found a good server, just walked thru them on my own to give them a look...
than Beach with CP, would be fun, but too much people that doesn't knowwhat it means and will try to get the docs
i mostly like cp in the official cp maps, destruction and trenchtoast...
would be a good idea for a day or two every month or so... (cause otherwise the know-only-beach-players will start complaining)

great idee mmmmgood would be great playing some custom maps.

i had castle siege in mind also cause it is my favourite (i would love to see all the axis falling from the towers running away for an airstrike... (i got something with falling to death i've played trickjump for 7 hours when i had downloaded it )
it would also be fun to see all the allies storming the bridge if it's down to recapture spawnflag would be really like in the middle ages with knights etc...

Hey, that's a great idea MG! 64 people on other maps will get interesting....
My suggestion on how you should arrange it... just pick 15-20 or so custom maps, and then randomly assign them to play for a whole weekend, four or five at a time. Post on this forum what they will be for the weekend in question so there are no surprises.
Example:
This weekend (04/05/03-04/06/03, 1200am-1159pm) ECGN will rotate beach in with:
wizernes
mitchell down
market garden
normandy breakout
kungfugrip
These maps will be available to everyone in the downloads section. This will be four games each: two on axis, two on allies, then switch maps. Stay tuned to this space to see which maps play next weekend... same bat-time, same bat-channel... (last part optional)

RtCWfils.com has a lot of maps...
(click on downloads at left of screen and then enter the name in the search box at the right...)
or a very good site only for maps is maps-central
it has almost every map and a lot of blueprints also... what's good to quick learn a new map...
