Oprah is a good woman doing great things. Lot of people would like to tear her down simply because of that. Even though she's a good woman, she's still human and will make mistakes. Overall though she's an extremely postive influence.

Oprah for President!

she just did a legends show...all black stars(like 50) only...if a white host did this he/she would be called a racist

She's sexist too.. they were all women!

Blah blah blah blah blah/ I don't watch her show because it's dull and patronising, pretty much like all the other shows in the same format. That video was retarded though. Oprahs not under any obligation to show the potential bad effects of something, thats for people to do themselves when they buy the fucking product by reading the lable on the back. I don't buy into this compensation culture crap that nothing is your fault unless someone explicitly told you not to do it. It a shitty way to go about living your life blaming your mistakes on other people when deep down you have to know that if you had just taken the time you could easily have worked out it was a bad idea. This is the same deal. Not telling people potential problems doesn't make it your fault when they happen, in the same way that not showing car crash victims in car adverts doesn't make them responsible. Adults should be smart enough to find out the pros and cons on their own before they get something done.

I just find the assumption that people are too dumb to do this depressing, its the reason behind the gradual dumbing down of tv: People like that are so convinced that the average viewer isn't able to tie shoelaces let alone follow a plot and they dumb shit down to make allowances for it. The result is dull tv and the rise of the 'reality' tv which is the lowest common denominator as far as I am concerned. No plot to follow, no brain required...

Exactly. Too many fuckin' retards in this world who refuse to use any sort of logical/critical thinking skills. To top it all off these people will often be caught in "the pot calling the kettle black" situations regarding this subject.

/agreed

i don't even watch tv anymore. there's like 8 shows total that i like and i download all of them. I've never really cared about oprah, but dr. phil is a fucking idiot and not even a doctor. i used to watch him and just make fun of the stupidity that poured out his mouth.

That video clip really doesn't say jack shit. People have to stop being so retarded and take control of their own lives. It's the mindless following that has allowed the bullshit reality shows become the most popular TV shows ever.

F*ck you American Idol, America's Next Top Model, Survivor (1 through 12), Big Brother, Fear Factor, The Bachelor, The Apprentice, Road Rules, Temptation Island, Extreme Makeover, The Swan, etc... People who keep this crap on the air need to be systematically hunted down and destroyed.

But the big "F*ck You!" goes to The Real World. Without you life would have been just fine. I hated it in 1992, and I hate all the crap it has spawned.

One thing we are forgetting. It was MSNBC. More people watched that show in this thread then when it actually aired.
