Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

I think it's tied to Windows Vista. It will run on DirectX 10. I don't know if it will run on anything less and I don't know if DirectX 10 will be released for anything less than Vista. Rumor says you will need Vista for 10.
So.. when Vista is released, perhaps that's when Crysis will go gold.

DX10 will only be with Vista. Microsoft is dumping all support for previous DX versions once Vista comes out. DX9 games will run on DX10 systems, however it will use an emulator, which could cause performance hits.

bah, I don't believe those screenshots to represent the real game when it comes out. This reeks of pre-rendered or out and out fake. Be realistic: to push something with that detail would require a machine with about 10 times the computing power of any normal home PC.

I think the screens are just to show off what the Crysis engine is capable of.

If you saw the E3 preview of this, the graphics are impressive but don't really match the screenshots that well. They are just rendered to look good.

now that looks really nice

Yeah, I'd say that dual cards have no real advantage aside from higher FPS and better AA/AF that isn't that noticeable over the max setting on a single card. Then of course you have to think about how in the near future a new card will be released that can outperform your dual card setup for half the price, half the heat and half the power consumption.
Now when they add greater benefits such as using the second card as a dedicated physics processor and other such unique features then it is more tempting to run a dual card setup. As of now, that hasn't been implemented so it really isn't worth it. Upgrading right now isn't worth it either -- I'd wait for true DX10 cards to be released first.
