They said on CBC its been 13 years since a canadian team has won the cup.

Yep. Montreal won it in 1993.
I'm glad Carolina won. It was good to see Rod Brind'Amour finally win the cup. Besides, Edmonton needs to go a while without winning since they won it 5 times in the '80's.

With all the former blues players on both teams its amazing we never had a cup here. I was indifferent i wanted both teams to win.

Congrats to Carolina...Ward was incredible and deserved the MVP. 22 year old rookie played like a veteran.
