Disney's getting pretty good at killin' people...

It's sad news. While they still aren't sure of this boy's death.. most of the others seem to be from previous health conditions of the patrons.

That is horrible. Maybe instead of just worrying about a height restriction. They worry about an age restriction aswell. Maybe they should have the parents sign off on them also.

Thats really sad to hear that people are dieing on these rides...makes me feal bad since I road on the same rides all the people have died on...that mssion space and the rockin and rollin roaler coaster....which i liked alot....but its always prior conditions that cause the fatalities...thats why whenever your waiting in line there is always signs saying if you have certain conditions or anything you shouldnt go on the ride...sad :(

For all we know, this kid may have died if he was just out riding his bike. It is sad when a child dies, but with the number of people going on the rides at Disney, you are bound to have someone just happen to ride when "its their time".

It's unfortunate about the boy, but I think Mugzy is right.

I rode on a coaster at 6 flags over Texas last year and came very close to blacking out. I don't consider myself a wimp or anything. I heard a couple of college kids in front of me talking about blacking out on the ride. At the time I didn't realize they were refering to the coaster I was on.

I could see if you had a medical condition, rides like this might cause problems. I'm not blaming Disney for the kid's death. I think people should use good judgement and determine before hand if the ride may be unsuitable or potentially risky for them.

Still it's sad when a kid dies.

The Disney company encampassing DisneyWorld, DisneyLand, EuroDisney, TokyoDisney and Hong Kong Disney... attracts 75 to 100 million visitors per year. With those kind of numbers.. yes, you are going to have the occasional, mysterious death due to it being "somone's time".
