Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

I thought some of the acting seemed forced. You know, when you do a fake laugh and everybody knows that it is fake. That kind of thing. The hero and the villian were pretty good but their supporting cast, especially Kitty wasn't so great.

The movie had a good concept, what would happen if Superman returned from a pro-longed absence however the climatic battle seemed to have been added as a "Oh crap, he has to fight something in this movie... but what... what?". The story works well in a comic series but not so much in a movie.

Lex Luthor wasn't even the greatest villian in the movie. No, gravity was Superman's greatest villian. You know, because all he did was pick up heavy objects and what a struggle that was.

Funny thing about Superman in the comics and in the movies is that his strength and speed is inconsistent. One moment he is flying so fast that he can go back in time and the next moment he can barely keep up with falling debree. One moment he can lift entire conintents and the next moment a dump truck is giving him some trouble.

SPOILER ALERT ----------------------

The scene towards the very end of the movie where Superman is talking to the sleeping kid I couldn't help but think of one of the most famous Star Wars scenes... Feeding Darth's lines to Superman.

I thought it was pretty good.

I like Smallville though.

Kate Bosworth is hot.

The airplane scene was sweet.

The acting was good.

It left you wanting more...sequel? Duh.

I like Smallville also. But I prefer Kristin Kreuk. Kates mouth is WAY to big for her face.

She's still pretty hot...

And yes...Kristen Kreuk is nice...but Erica Durance is my overall preference.

Agreed with Killer Mike. Not only does Erica Durance play the most faithful Lois Lane to the one in the comics (even though Margot Kidder does a pretty good job), but she's hot as hell.

I thought it was great. If they made another, awesome. If they don't thats good too. Back in the day Tim Burton was supposed to produce/direct the next superman sequel along with fucking Nick Cage as The Man of Steel. What a piece of shit movie that would've been.

The only fault of the movie i found was something that was discussed in Mallrats and it is as follows:

T.S. Quint: But they're engaged.

Brodie: Doesn't matter, can't happen.

T.S. Quint: Why not? It's bound to come up.
Brodie: It's impossible, Lois could never have Superman's baby. Do you think her fallopian tubes could handle the sperm? I guarantee you he blows a load like a shotgun right through her back. What about her womb? Do you think it's strong enough to carry her child?

T.S. Quint: Sure, why not?

Brodie: He's an alien, for Christ sake. His Kyrptonian biological makeup is enhanced by earth's yellow sun. If Lois gets a tan the kid could kick right through her stomach. Only someone like Wonder Woman has a strong enough uterus to carry his kid. The only way he could bang regular chicks is with a kryptonite condom. That would kill him.

Great film overall. I liked when kitty looks at the dog chewing on the bone and goes "weren't there two of them?"

thought the begining was great.

They TOTALLY left open a big hole.... i mean when the baddies are the fortress of solitute, the chic says something like "you act as if youve been here before" and the parts where supermans #1 foe had been LL. I smell a possible Pre-quel to evolve that story.

but the whole Lex Luthor part after SM lands and confronts him got a bit boring.

I thought he was there in Part 2 with Gen ZOD. This is technically supposed to be pt 2.5. The ending definitely left it open for a sequel but I don't think it will do that good. Boring IMO. They needed to introduce or hint of another bad guy(Batman Begins: Joker) if they wanted to continue.:(
