I like this kind of thing for two reasons:
It shows people not looking for one single perfect solution that solves all problems, but instead choosing a route that works for their particular situation. Like I preach it, the answers lie in a patchwork of solutions.

Secondly, they are saving/making money from it, not being financially hurt as many would mistakenly assume.

Hhmmm we live to poo and poo can make energy that helps us live. Although it won't be a single source of energy it does put all the crap on the planet to good use aside from fertilizer.

Just to be safe, they should pass a law before it becomes a problem in the future: No writer (under pain of death) shall write an article about poo sourced energy entitled "The Sweet Smell of Success" or any other such pun.
