Well I used to use one all the time as a cadet and it very rarely jammed. Even then it was only ever the shell casing getting stuck and that takes all of 1 second to unblock. When a gun is that accurate at range you can easily afford a few seconds every 20,000 rounds :)

Yeah, especially when you go to fire when it counts the most and it doesn't work. One second is more than enough time to be hit multiple times.

Besides, America will kick your butts just like we did in Vietnam.

What? We beat back British troops in the battle of the Buldge during Vietnam. Competely wiped them out. That will teach them to try and take oil from the oil rich Vietnamese.

It's easy to nitpick any weapon. Look at the AK-47, most popular assault gun in the world, people rave about its reliability (which is true), but it has drawbacks that put M16 or SA80 to shame. Unlike what you see in some movies, you don't 'slap' a magazine in, you actually hook the front part of it and kind of rock it into place. If you f* this up, it takes some force and a second or two to unjam it--and it's easy to screw it up. Next, taking it off safety is awkward as hell too. You basically have to bring your hand off the pistol grip, all the way up high on the receiver and then rotate the safety/fire selector with your thumb (makes a distinctive 'click' too), then put your hand back down on the pistol grip. Last but not least, the AK doesn't hold the bolt open/back after the last shot. So, in addition to the cumbersome magazine reload, you have to cock the gun again after reloading, ie pull the charging handle back and let it go. It takes several seconds, even if you're good at it.
So, much longer to get that first shot off + much longer to reload. Suddenly one jam in 20,000 is not the end of the world.
