Ya, rather a x850xt "150 price range" or a x1800gt "200 MAX prive range"

Without tax/ shipping what not.

Go for the x850xt, cheaper and would last a little longer.

I use an old Asus P4PE system I built about 4 years ago, I had an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro in it, which was great when I bought it. I recently upgraded to a Radeon X1600 Pro, night and day difference (AGP 4X).

It not only games great (I can play Quake 4 with all the video stuff turned up high with no lag), my computer, in general, runs much faster. Quite a noticeable difference.

got the ati radeon x 800 XL

ok new question on the new system now, I have my old hard drive....how do I install in into the piece, will it be the slave to the master ?????

Sun Jul 30, 2006 2:33 pm

You can make it the slave or the master. Install windows and programs on the fastest hard drive, and use the other hard drive for media, music and stuff that takes up space, but doesn't need speed.

ummm I put in my old Hard disk all coming from the board on same line, one is c: , one is d: for recovery, only problem is the jumper on my old drive is set to slave but not getting anything, old hard drive maybe, or wrong jumper?????

Sun Jul 30, 2006 5:37 pm

Set one drive to Master and the other to slave. You may need to switch their places on the cable. You could always try Cable Select -> "CS". I've had some luck setting both drives to CS. I do admit the Master/Slave settings seem to work best.
