Hey everyone I just wanted you all to take a moment out of your day to remember those who lost their lives in the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

When I was in school, Pearl Harbor Day was remembered with ceremony and prayer. I guess the events of 9/11 have overshadowed what happened in 1941.

Let us never forget, and let's learn from history.

Yes, I agree that September 11th, 2001 has overshadowed other events like today's Pearl Harbor bombings.

We should never forget.

Well it could boil down to the fact that the american people may believe that the people that died in Pearl Harbor were avenged by the A-Bombing of Hiroshema and Nagasaki.

Funny how history works... They surprise attacked us. We then use them as a test dummy for our A-Bombs and now they basically manufacture all electronic circuit boards. Amazing how things work out when logic would suggest we should never ever consider friendship nor business partners.

The people the died in the 9/11 attacks have not yet been avenged. The war in Iraq may have helped avenge them but it surely has not addressed it directly and IMO they have yet to be completely avenged.

I don't mean to offend anyone, they are just my thoughts as to why some things are remembered so well and others not so well. It might also be that Pearl Harbor was the event for the older generations, and 9/11 is the younger generations big event.

I agree with ya maday, about the younger generationg sympathising with 9/11. However Pearl Harbor was much more devistating than 9/11.

So ya lets not forget either days!
