If you're older like me, we had the big heavy cars with *MASSIVE* engines. Seriously huge engines, with tons of torque and the worst gas mileage in the world. Gas was cheaper than dirt at the time, so nobody cared about mileage. Gas was about sixty cents a gallon in the late 70s, and about $1 dollar for most of the 80s.

My Indie band name: The Civic Red Raiders.

The car I wish had been my first--light fiberglass body+huge engine=rapid acceleration! 1973 corvette stingray.
