Anyone ever been to Puerto Vallarta?

I have some time off coming up in a month, and my wife and I would like to just get away for a week or so.

We're considering Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Supposed to be a pretty good resort town... Anyone ever been there? Can ya tell me anything about it?
