I see no problem, big business customer service sucks, they just want $$$ and couldn't care less. This cust service guy keep asking for the guys email address when its obvious he just wants it to send him junk email. Give it up, its obvious the guy is pissed just tell him how to shut it down and be on your way.
but nooooooooo he has to ask him 10 questions before just telling him to hold the power button.

What I wanna know is how the guy got someone with no "accent" on the phone. That is a fucking miracle if you ask me. Someone who owns a Dell.

The only competent tech support I have ever dealt with on a consistent basis is Apple.
As far as I'm concerned most large high-tech companies (and I deal with a lot of them on a daily basis) hire poorly trained, poorly speaking morons, and could care less that they end up pissing their customers off.
Kudos to Apple for getting it right; their Genius Bar is pure Genius and their phone support people know their stuff. Period.
