Okay...how about this:
I received rtcw for Christmas 2001. I was a Freshman at Clemson. I am now 24 years young. I've played this game ever since. I guess you can say I've been around...let me share some of my adventures with you:
My first clan was called (atom). They were a belgian clan and because of the time difference I tried joining aSn while I was still a member of (atom)...what did I know..I was a nub. atom found out and I got das boot.
I then played with LethalLady (I lub Paula! a very classy lady who still plays on ECGN and is also an admin) in a clan called >BaD<. I played there for a couple months. We played on the OGL ladders and CAL as well. We were a decent team but the members there were a little older and couldn't really committ to scriming as much due to RL obligations. I felt it was time to move on to a more competitive sceen after a month or two run with them...Good guys though.
I then joined a team called =SeeD= where I played CAL Open Seaon 2. There I played with Skibop and it was a step up from >BaD<. Again, great guys, but team instability and the need to get even more competive, I moved on to Liquid, |LQD| but left them within a week or so to join a team that was being put together that promised to be THE team in RTCW.
I joined |Elite for Cal Open season 3. We were a force to be reckoned with immediately. We had the likes of Vatican, Neo, Fenix, Madness, RiotAct, Me, Laws69, Thorian..etc... We immediately were beating Invite level teams. We reformed due to a member/leadership change with basically the same roster...we reformed as Redemption. We won CAL Open Season 3 and came within one round of taking the TWL Alpha Championship as well... We scrimmed for almost 4 hours a night. It was insane. We played CAL Invite Season 4 and did decent enough but the team broke up mid season due to burn out. I then joined another team that would take me to a level of teamplay/communication that Redemption just didn't have.
I joined High Voltage, |HV just before Battle of the Beach 2, in which we played and lost in the final 8. I formed a bond with the teammates and leadership of that team that was pretty much permanent. Great attitudes and friends all around. I went off to Airborne school that summer but we qualified for Quakecon 2003 before I left. Upon my return, we started scrimming again heavy getting ready for Quakecon 2k3..One of the biggest LAN Tournaments in North America. I travled to Dallas, TX. with High Voltage where we competed for thousands of dollars in prize money in RTCW but alas lost to the teams who placed 2nd and 3rd at the end of the tournament. |HV pretty much stopped playing RTCW competitively after that...I then moved on to play with guys who used to be one of the top old school teams of RTCW.
Darkside, D|S. I played for Darkside after their leader, who was a close friend of |HV. approached me about playing for D|S which doubled as a TWL ladder team called Hostile^Inc. D|S played in Cal that season but broke up due to inactivity from the older members mid season. Hostile Inc. played on where we went undeafeted and played to a 50-0 record on the TWL OSP Ladder. A record that was never broken.
After Darkside and Hostile called it quits... I just started playing for random teams for fun and for the enjoyment of playing with the guys on those teams. I played for Exodus, -x-, OPP- (you guys probably know pingan, baby, yogi, etc.) Eggnog Squad, Raiders Coven, High Life, ^L. (I just played with these guys where we went to the OSP Season 13 finals), Rabia-. I think I'm missing a couple teams but you get the point.
I've been around the block, I've been to LANs, I've played in lots of tournaments and played for a lot of very good teams. I've had a lot of fun doing it and I love this game over every other fps game I've played.
I work as a Human Resource Coordinator for a 3D modeling company. I work with ppl all day long. Dealing with their problems is my job. I'm responsible, reliable, and ready to be your next admin.
