Pretty amazing, I have to admit.
We used to say "if only they released BF42 with a better engine". Looks like that's it.
I'm about to order a new PC with insane specs, I will install it as soon as they build the required power substation in my back yard. Maybe I'll try BF43.

It will be weird to not run a server though. Imagine, being a simple PLAYER!

Also, have you noticed the music? Close to the beloved original.

Looks good, the forums keep saying that the PC server is not locked in at 24 players, only the consoles. But 1943 will only come out with 3 maps. I think the price was $15.


There is also a content beta update out for BF2 making a few fixes and adding a new map: Operation Blue Pearl. 1.3GB download. Downloaded it last night, but did not install it yet. Anyone else get it yet? Anyone got a favorite BF2 server out there to try this on?

Call of Duty is great, but nothing compares to 42. Hopefully 43 will be just as good.
One thing that saddens me a bit is that they chose to hype Wake Island; that map is good but there are others from the original game that go way beyond, imo.
