So the internet there is just like home? j/k. Sucks to hear that the job lined up fell through. Hopefully they get you another one soon. As for the nickname it doesn't have the same ring as assballs.

Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.

So I take it you're in school to be a truck driver? Cool.
My wife has a CDL. No, really, she does. Her whole family has CDL's...they own a trucking company.

Re: Truck Driver Nutz
lol are they hiring?
Re: Truck Driver Nutz
No, not hiring right now... With the economy, everthing has slowed down, of course. Wanna buy one of our trucks? We have about 150 Volvo's, Freightliners, and a few Macks. Owner-operator is the way to go!

Re: Truck Driver Nutz
an update for those ecgn'ers that dont vivit the GofW forums. i got hired my a company called P.A.M. transport. i have been on the truck with a trainer for 4 weeks and we just got a load from PA. to south texas so i assume i will be dropped off at company HQ in arkansas for my upgrade test and to get a truck assignment. being a over the road truck driver aint as great as i thought it would be but hell im just happy to have a job right now. the more i work at the better i will be at this. accualy the downtime is the hardest to cope with. and living in a truck baisicly = homeless but i will atleast get to run a week or 2 on my own to make a good ouple of checks before christmas and i will be able to get home for christmas so i think that will keep my moral up. but the real question is how is everyone else doing? what is everyone up to? and where are the good bars at when im on a layover in your town? lol. i just wanna say have a merry christmas if i dont make it back on before then and have a happy new year

Look, if you had one shot, one opportunity

Would you capture it or just let it slip?

Re: Truck Driver Nutz
Hey Nutz!
Sorry I just noticed your post from a while back...
Heck, I don't know too much about the specifics with the trucks (except that he had a shit load of them and sold a bunch of them). I'm not personally involved with the company (I'm employed in an entirerly different field!!), but my wife helps out from time to time...
Lemme see if I have any pics laying around on my computer...maybe you can tell what model / sleeper they are...

Ok, here we go. Found a couple pics of a few of the rigs. You mentioned you liked Peterbilts, so I posted one of those, too:
