Abuse of Admin Power

O.k.... so I'm playing away last night, happily maintaining my .5 k.r., when I receive a PM from some player whose name I didn't recognize, asking a simple game question... I responded with a courteous reply.. Then it turned ugly.. Obviously the simple question wasn't this person's intent.. This person responds in turn, only this time lewdly.. I won't go into details of the PMs here since it's a family show lol.., but it was pretty offensive.. I decided it was best just to ignore the pig..

Then the guy starts spamming me incessantly - "Capt are you getting my PMs?? Capt are you getting my PMs??" - over and over and over again.. I'm still ignoring at this point.. Then he starts flinging me over and over again to get my attention.. so of course I'm not able to play.. 'Hmmm an admin..' I'm thinking.. I tell the guy in global to f*** off, basically making it clear to leave me alone..., then the guy mutes me LOL....

Is this what this game is coming to? Admins who abuse their power and hide behind an alias to satisfy some sick, sociopathic need? It's people like this that are killing this game.. not to mention this server.. There are cool admins out there, lik Shooter, Ch!ck, Puzz, et al.. but you guys and MAA really need to be re-thinking who you give this privilege to.. If it was a non-admin, I wouldn't give a toss.. but it's the fact that I was treated like shite by an admin with absolutely no encouragement from my side other than my gender... I log on to the ECGN server to play, not to banter about bodily fluids with some juvenile who apparently needs to get laid.. and badly.. If you're that hard up, go to the bathroom with some Bounty, instead of harassing female players that are clearly not interested...

I sometimes see people getting muted for no reason ... might be admin abuse.

My question is: are only admins able to use the 'fling' command? When I was an admin, only admins could use fling... Curious, since it's possible I may have made a mistake in accusing it being an admin.. When I saw the !mute Capt yadda yadda, I didn't bother with any further global chat since I assumed it was an admin from the flinging.., so just ended up logging off at that point lol...

Thanks, Chickee.. This needs to change... or the person in question should have their lvl 1 revoked.. Slaught or MAA should check the logs from last night - if anything it'll be good for a laugh lol.. Should have screenshot his PMs.. Can't have whackos like this given privileges then using it to harass players out of the blue and unprovoked.. It kills the server's rep....

Whoever that was someone is clearly a delinquent kid that has not shown enough maturity. That kid shouldn't deserve Level-1 rights and instead should face the ban-stick.

I thought my recollection is that CaptTripps was an Admin for the server. I'm even more surprised he got muted.

Uhh WTF, i use one or two of those names and i know for sure it wasn't me, strange.

you can next time make a demo recording or easy way
is to just /condump abuse

this will save a text file to your game in file named abuse. ( or what ever else it is named )

or /ScreenShotJPEG , then post the offender in the act

surely the ECGN server has a constant log file and they can then match up
the offending culprit .

Don't want to waste anymore time on this than is necessary, but yep - as well all know the player's GUID can be pulled from the logs as well as the chat history... So picmic, if it's not you then they'll know from this unique hexi-string... It's obviously someone with a lvl 1 or above, so they'll be able to narrow it down pretty fast..
