Your major issue about crying hacks is that until all you angry cunts pile into one huge space and LAN, you will never see who is lying and who is crying. If you love the game, shove it and play on. Just be happy you aren't some sod like me that never got a hard copy with a clean cd key and have no way to kill you these days.:(:(

Think of the days of competitive Quakecon/CAL league RTCW as the NFL.
While the NFL was in session, you were a high school football player. I'm sure something like < 0.5% of high school football players play in the NFL. The NFL players are just more talented than you (aim, reaction time), mostly physically better (better computers), and smarter and more experienced than you (played at a higher level of competition, logged more hours of competitive play). It's not "impossible" or "defying logic" that a high school player went to play in the NFL.
Now your high school days are gone and you play in a just-for-fun flag football league (ECGN). However, there's a few guys who played in the NFL who still love to play football, but have since retired and there's no other league (server) to compete on, so ex-NFL players now also play in your flag football league.
ECGN is a comfort zone for a lot of players. It's fun. There's always players you can kill, regardless of your skill level. However, nobody is improving their skills by playing on ECGN. They aren't really diminishing their skills either. It's just a constant line on a graph. If you were thrown in an NFL game as a high school player, you would definitely improve your play. Would you ever make it in the league? Maybe not, but your skills would improve because you're having to adapt and learn to almost an entirely new game to the one you're comfortable with.
I understand it can be frustrating to play against your own level of competition, but have a few guys who seem impossible to beat; however, it is not "defying logic" or hacking.

Secondly, ping makes a world of difference. The reason it appears bullets are going around the corner is because for someone with a >100 ping even though it appears you are around the corner the server didn't yet register you as being around the corner and the guy shooting you is a <50 pinger so his bullet still hits you because his ping is closer to the server therefore you still get hit. I know it's gay but that's the way ping works. I think it's laffable that people still talk about the engine, it's not the engine it's the ping, or rather, lag. That's not to say that hacking isn't going on, but you need to be able to explain the stuff that doesn't involve hacking.

Just a couple things I wanna note. First, Juventus, you of all people should know that most "professional" configs(assuming hackless) take out everything but players. This includes light, but also includes boxes, shrubbery, yada yada, all gone. This makes for a faster config.

The difference in pings between a 50 pinger and a 100 pinger is so great in terms of gameplay, how much more is a 100 difference. Seriously, man, if you want people to take your hack opinions seriously, you can't just assume that everything is hack related.
skibbs, even if you were playing with a stock config, using that hack you use would make using the stock config not really a big deal.

PB screenshots have nearly always been worthless. Most hacks get around that easy. But you can't ban for a blank screenshot, because that is not a guarantee of a hack. You can't ban based on player opinion. That's democracy - also known as mob rule. It's two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner. No, you rely on multiple demo evidence. You log on with secret GUIDs and record them every time they play. You gather evidence and make a decision based only on that evidence.
