Please stop the sniper frenzy

This has been the topic of numorous postes, but I don't think there is a limit for the number of sniper players.
Yesterday again, the allies wheren't heven able to keep the foward bunker, why? there was at least 6 snipers I could count (I was in spec mod).
There is no use for so many snipers, they rarely help there teams get the job done.
I would like to see a limit of the number of sniper, maybe 2, at the limit 3.
If you think the same as I pls make a rply to show admin we dont need so many snipers.

i agree that there's always the special few who love to snipe all the time (ugh)... but the limit should be a bit higher, like 4. they do help pick off some axis up top sometimes...

There is no problem with snipers in RTCW in BF1942 everyone want to be a sniper when it comes to beach.

there is always a problem when the allies have so many snipers so there are going to be unable to reach the inner rooms on bunkers and staying on the beach sniping, the game is not challenging if the allies have not enough man power againt the axis who are in advantage.
what´s more it is always easy to gib a sniper with your panzer

I've always been a supporter of Snipers, as I like to play sniper myself now and again (especially allied). In this case though, I would have to agree that 6 snipers on the beach is definetely going to do more harm to the team as a whole than good. I would argue that SOME snipers are definetely helpfull to the team... not trying to brag, but there are times where I am picking off guys every 5 or 10 seconds, giving the allies that are trying to break into the complex alot more breathing room. In any event, too many just makes things worse, so I would have no problem seeing snipers limited to 2 or 3.

I can support limiting snipers... although all those medics who like to "ride the flagpole like a stripper" and then pass on to the beach to poison snipers unawares will be left without jobs...

I was playing the other night and it got pretty late and the number of players dropped to about 15 per side or so... but it seemed like I was the only one rushing the complex... I backed off and counted 5 snipers- on a team of 15! Needless to say I was slightly irked and left the server...

I would say limit it to 3... (4 tops)...

i just say let em be, if someone wanted to limit your favorite class and couldn't be it in game cause of the limitations, then it would be a different story

I agree with you shipwreck that everyone always want to be the class they wish , but we have to leave this clear that 2 or 3 three snipers is enough to play the match ....
What would you think about playing 32 panzers againt 32 allies as panzares too, ( We sould Check it out some day to see that wuold be awesome:D for the first 10 minutes) the game would be unplayable, and you would leave the server cos you would get bored about seeing your bowels on the ground all the time...,:lol:,:lol:

Shipwreck, I normally would agree with you, but this server is already limited in how many people can be panzers...

Since that ground has already been broken, I see no reason to also have a limit for snipers, as too many can be detrimental to their own team...

I say leave it to a vote... whatever the vote decides, I will go along with without protest...

maybe one day there will be so many class limitations on wolf people with skills will actually choose soldier with a thompson. heheh. yeah right.

I'd have to agree with Rule on this one. I think this would be best settled by a vote.

If someday we have to play just as a soldier and I have to choose between the mp40 or thompson, I just prefer the thompson, of course...
