Which game is going to totally rock the other? I have my money on HL2, but still anxious to see Doom3

I am going with Half-life 2 as the better of the two. Shouldn't this thread be in the smoking room? Doesn't matter I guess.

I like a lot of story in the games I play(besides BF), so I vote for HL2. Doom3 will definately be cool for those who like non-stop action-fests, but I need more than just good graphics, guns, and monsters.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Quake 4 as well....

I am going to play both of them, as simple as that. I will decide which one has better graphics, gameplay upon playing.

has anyone seen screenshots about quake 4, I prefer not to give any conclusion about this game, since is under development by Raven Software, it is going to be sure a nice game with a well-worked storyline, You have just to see what happened with their last released games:
Jedi Knight II.
Soldier Of fortune II
Star Trek Voyager:Elite Force.
we´ll surely see a game with a hhard, modified Doom 3 DLL engine source code on this game, adding all the modifications That ID didn´t

I'll be buying both of these games and then deciding which is better, because I think both of them are worthy of buying. I don't really know that much about doom other than that you kill monsters. Does Doom have multi-player?

do you think ID wants to mess the things with a Standalone Single player campaign with no multiplayer as they made with quake 3 with its multiplayer option only??
ID is working on both play modes to avoid doom 3 stand forgotten on our shelves when you finally get nailed the final boss..., just let´s see what they have in their hands when the games comes out
