I would recommend building your own machine.
You can build a machine with similar specs yourself for less than half of that figure...
It will take some research and effort, but it's a good learning experience and much cheaper... especially if you get stuff that's just a couple generations old... works fine and costs even less...

If you can spend $ 3500, you could build the best of the best with better specs than you sonic thingy. It is about like putting together a simple model.
If you are interested further I think many of us can post components for a dream machine. I built my machine ( see below ) from E-bay bids, for about $800. Including monitor wich was the bulk of the bill.

If your rich and smoke 100 dollar bills then by all means get it. But otherwise I would have to agree with the other people building your own is much cheaper and easier then you would think. I recommend you go to a computer show (god help you) and look around, add up what it would cost you for the components ex motherboard, proc, video and sound card,...
And make your decision from there.
But hell if I was Rich Uncle Penny Bags I would buy a sonic boom (isnt that from street fighter) or an alienware comp.
PS Does anyone here know if/where u can get just an alienware case?

I can look for alienware as I poke around. Here is a link to my Fav. case Lian-li. Pricey, but you dont really ever replace your case after you get what you want. I like the PC-75

anyone know any real good places to get like 21" monitors?

http://www.newegg.com
Best place to buy compouter parts. They may be a few bucks more each item(and sometimes a few bucks less), but you usually get great deals on shipping(free), and their return service is great.

Alienware is so cool...much money

To get an alienware case u have to A) Have a friend with an alienware computer or B) Know a store that handles alienware systems. Once u have either of those wait until ur friend is asleep or the store is closed then find a way to get in undetected and steal it.
Hope this helps
And if u stole from your friend... make sure he doesnt come over to ur place anymore

Or, just go to newegg.com get the same thing for half the cost.....
