As far as arguing between those who support the US and those who disagree with it's policies...

I don't consider it a personal thing. Those who haven't read the same news stories as I have, the same columnists as I have, who are more cynical than I am; will probably have a different opinion than me.

I also don't think the US gov had an ulterior motive in removing Saddam. He was a future threat to the US, possibly a current one. The President said this many times, regardless of what the media may have said he said. That is reason enough for me. Job #1 of the President as Commander in Chief is to protect the american people. That is what he was doing.

If you people who live in foreign countries wish to do something about this, you have a few options (some better than others)

1. Build up your own countrie's power to challenge America's dominance in world affairs. (oops! no more socialism for that!)

2. Move here to vote in our elections, so that you have a right to bitch about what we do.

3. Join the terrorists who are trying to stop america with force and subterfuge.

4. Continue to whine and cry foul about things while we protect you from the big bad wolf.

Face.. thank you very much. Interesting stuff, but I often question reporters whenever they discuss things dealing with nuclear technology.

When I was in the Navy we used to post the articles written on nukes that were totally incorrect. I wish that I was still in Orlando, I would go to my old Physics teacher, a world renown expert on nulcear power, and ask him about this article.

It just doesn't seem that a centrifuge capable of critical mass densities specific to nulcear weapondry and not to nuclear power production would be able to simple be buried in a backyard. Any nulcear reaction requires amazingly high critical densites to spontaneously operate. (This is why movies like "The China Syndrome" make nukes like me laugh.... those leftists lunatics are so ignorant to nuclear power.) Bombs do require more density than power production, so this article is plausible.


Ok, I have bashed the French enough to defend them on this issue... one good thing that the they have is a very intelligent attitude toward nuclear power production. Over half of their power production is nuke.

I just read the complete article. It is confusing... the article only talks about weapons, but if you click on the link entitled "Interactive: How Uranium is Enriched" it only talks about power generation. Hmmm? I am not the only one confused.

1. A soccer-threat is a great idea. Once you've seen football ( and I mean REAL football, not that American where you have to kick that stupid 'ball' between 2 big sticks), you can't stop talking about it: tactics, news, moves, everything.
2. Edwin van der Sar: one of the best Dutch keeper in years. Won the Champions league in 1996 with Ajax ( I am no supporter of Ajax, but is a great thing for Dutch football).
Jaap Stam: a big, heavy, and bold defender. Plays now for A.S. Roma.
Edgar Davids: everybody knows him. Great player, and famous because of his glasses. Too bad he punch his wife.
Black man?? Ruud Gullit?? European Champion in 1988. One of the best football-players in the world ever.
And ofcourse Ruud van Nistelrooij. Great player.
( Too bad you didn't named Johan Cruyff)
3. American football-leauge has still to grow. Not really good clubs. Some good players, but they all ran away to Germany or to Holland. And all the German-retarded players run to America

Both are great sports that appeal to different people. BUT, if you don't think there is a strategy to American football, you are severely misinformed. Bill Walsh was known for having over 250 plays in his playbook. He also scripted his first 25 offensive plays to see how the opposition defended them (most coaches are following this regimine). Players and coaches often spend 2 hrs. or more every day looking at film and strategizing. Jon Gruden is known for starting work at 0600 and going until 2300. Try looking at Mike Martz's or Steve Marriucci's playlist sometime.

Besides that, the shear size and strength of American football players is something to marvel at. There are cornerbacks (usually the smaller players on the field) who can bench press 225 lbs 25 times and squat 450 lbs...

You're right, we didn't do it to get cheap oil. But we did do it to get more oil. Let's not forget that our President, his dad, Cheney and alot of their friends are oil men afterall.

Before the war started (I believe it was on the eve of the war) when the President was addressing the nation on TV he looked right into the camera and asked the Iraqis to not torch thier oil fields. For as much as the government says over and over again that its not about the oil, prior to the war they couldn't seem to talk enough about it.

What other product(s) does Iraq export? What product is the country's major source of income? What happens to the country if they are no longer able to export their oil (because they torched their fields)?

Thanks. That is pretty much what I was going to say. The Iraqis couldn't really get economically back on their feet by selling rugs.
Not to mention that skies full of smoke would hamper the war effort, causing more mistakes and possibly more civilian casualties (as well as more FF casualties) due to low visibility. Yes, the mighty US has amazing equipment, but much of it still has its limitations.

The mid that I was talking about was Seedorf. He started in 1994. I forgot about de Boer. I loved that 1994 team and I watched them in France in 1998.

The NFL is also a fantastic sport. I love both.

Our best players play in England. Well McBride is back since his contract did not allow him to stay. But Friedel plays in th EPL and was in the running for player of the year. He is playing better than any English keeper, some English are actually trying to get him to switch citizenship before next major international event. O'brien plays for Ajax, but that is our only really top player to play in eithr of those two leagues.

Several of our top players still play in the MLS. (Olson and Wolf)
