i think theyll settle their petty differences and agree to disagree. most versus movies like this ive seen start out one way then look more like a team-up when all is said and done.
they dont want to burn the fans of either character.
if i had to pick, id go with Freddy.
he was always my favorite, its his sense of humor.

...there was a rumor that they weren't going to use Kane Hodder to play Jason because he was too big--in comparison to Freddy....and it wouldn't "look appropriate" for the camera work....
I believe there was an out-pouring of support for Hodder from the fans, and he was cast for this, (I'm feel) soon-to-be-forgettable flick.

I know what you mean. I'm a fan of all the Halloween movies, I've seen them all. Those are the only ones I find scary. The jason movies are a joke.

"Horror" movies are not the least bit scary to me... they try to get you with lots of fake blood and cheesy camera tricks...
What I notice more is the bad acting, bad dialogue, totally implausible villains...
The best "scary" type movies I can think of are "In the Mouth of Madness" and "The Serpent and the Rainbow"... (although "Aliens" gave me nightmares as a kid
)
I did watch "Jason X" recently, though me and my buddy were in histerics through the whole movie, practically... it was really cheesy on purpose... I kept predicting the one-liners accurately... pretty funny on the whole- but not scary...

Jason X was absolutely horrible. That was probably one of the worste done movies I've ever seen.
However, the early Halloween movies really freaked my out when I was younger. That mask and the slow way he walked and the scary situations peope were in, just did the trick.
Halloween H20 was pretty good, but Halloween resurrection wasn't so much scary as it was a thrill ride. It had more excitement to it, rather than horror, but I still LOVE the Halloween franchise and would go see the next movie without a doubt.

jason x was awesome. It wasnt scary but it was still cool.
I think the funniest part in that movie was when they tried to slow down jason with that hologram. THose two girls took their shirts off and said" hey lets smoke some marijuana and have pre-marital sex...we love pre-marital sex" then jason proceeds to roll them up in their sleeping bags and beat them senseless against a tree.
