I honestly have to say that since we have started in the ladders , we have learned to use this method very effectively.I dont even mind when the other side tries to do it any more.Actually I like it ,more of a challenge. So back to the question is it wrong? Lets see what you guys think.

I dont think its wrong... but i have a feeling we are the minority

Do it in a pub server and ppl will rip your nuts off for it. But, it seems to be commonplace in the leagues and ladders. I don't mind it at all. Just expands the kinds of tactics you can use.

aggreed.

Please explain this tactic, for I know it not.

A person who sits at a spawn point waiting for the other team to spawn so they can kill them before they are able to move.

oh that sucks......

I think it depends on the game. In BF1942 you must spawnkill till the flag turns grey...

Oh, I've just been referring to that as spawnkilling. I'm glad the Beach Server has that few seconds of protection to prevent that sort of thing.

Determining whether spawn killing is a valid tactic or not isn't for me to decide. I can tell you that it is dirty and cheap. It is taking the easy way out of a situation instead of having a real battle strategy. Besides that, it just isnt fun to be on the receiving end of it. I still have fun if Im beaten by a good team who uses good teamwork, but not when they spawnkill with arty spam, mortar spam, panzers, or the famous landmines across the spawn exits.

When the spawnkilling starts and I see no end in sight, I just leave the server im on.

Wolf/ET is a team game, hence if your team sucks and gets hemmed in by spawn killing it's their own fault. Lack of team-work, lack of communication, lack of a clear understanding of the objectives against a team that does have all those attributes often leads to the former getting funneled down to their only spawn point. Let the bitchin' begin.

The spawn killing lessens once a few skilled members work their way past the spawn and start setting up behind the scenes.

Fuel Dump; amazing how fast the Nazi side goes screaming back to the dump once they hear "Depot defenses destroyed!".
