I run Windows XP, NT, 98, 95, Linux, and OS/400 (on the AS/400). :)

OS/400 is the most solid of any of the above mentioned with Linux being the second most stable.

UNIX/Linux are the best for reliability and stability, but the most popular games aren't ported to Linux :(

I run OS X, OS 9.2...I run 9.2 to play games, OS X eats up alot of RAM and you need RAM for a game to run...When I get 512MB of RAM then I may be able to run Wolf under OS X(thats the only game that does not run in OS X that I have.) Os 9.2 is not all that bad..but OS X is much better with stability...I have never had one crush in OS X. Now don't you just want to run out there and buy a Mac?

I agree with Wairudo.

I kinda liked OS/370, but I don't have room for the mainframe anymore.

Inclined to agree with Wairudo as well... but out of 98, 2K and XP... I like 2K.

It doesn't have all of the big-brother-may-I stuff in it that XP does and when you hit cntrl+ALT+DLT, it comes out of ANYTHING to bring up the task manager... XP will not...

Macs? Bah, when they have a machine with more than a 2 ghz CPU for less than $1000 dollars, then I might pay attention... but probably not...

screw linux...give me 2000 or xp. They are more than stable enough for me... and they are much easier to use.

I vote for XP. I use my pc for gaming and 3D animation, and it handles both with aplomb. I've never had a problem with it ever, so for me it's just as stable as linux or any other contender for the throne.

I like XP, I haven't had any stability issues. As far as OS-X. I think its the best mac OS there is, but still crappy and not user friendly if mac is trying to gain any new customers. My second choice would be linux, Solaris to be exact.
