I'll say that after the stats have been reset I'm doing better. 102 kills and 130 deaths thats better then my 552 kills and 1010 deaths.(I did not use to play on 24/7 that much) I'll be playing more on 24/7 beach because the {AsB} server is down.

i would love to know what that has anything to do with the UNITED STATES EMPIRE.

are you talking about the US as a country? I'm confused

Thu Aug 28, 2003 5:05 pm

The United States is not an empire. To qualify, we would need to posess or control colonies abroad.

And to cut off any (other) wisenheimers, Iraq is a temporary occupation, similar to Japan and Germany after WW2...

(Here comes a whole can 'o worms now... )

lol i would have posted in teh RTCW section then lol.

Well true i guess i miss-phrased my topic of "Empire" wrong but stil what do you guys think. Heres an answer i got on anotehr forum:
Well it depends from which side you're looking at it. Seen from the weapons-viewpoint, the USA is very powerfull, maybe even the strongest entity. And they're even increasing.

But, and this is more important, seen from most other viewpoints, it's decreasing. A few excamples: the government, the industry, medical care, etc etc. It has come that far that the biggest force in the world is ruled by a gang of maffiosi. The only thing that counts for them is money. Look at the Bush-government: Bush Sr. related to oil companies and weapons industry. Bush Jr. idem. Colin Powell idem. Dick Cheney idem. Condoleeza Rice idem. And so on and on and on. Get it?

Other 'thingy': the personal weapon posession. The US law says something like you have the right to arm yourself. Before I give you the result of it, I'll give you a small comparisment: Canada, with 7.000.000 weapons for 10.000.000 families, has only a few murders a year, I don't think they reach 100. Germany idem. Australia idem. All big- and not-so-big countries idem. But the USA... MORE THEN 11.000 MURDERS A YEAR!! That's right, more then eleven thousand. Gives you something to think about, doesn't it?...

And what did you think about the army that fights a few wars? Have you made the remark there's only war going on where there's oil? Afghanistan: oil. Iraq: oil. The first Gulf War: oil. But what about Liberia? There's no oil, so they won't send any troops. Only when there's too much international pressure, like now. But still! Only a few soldiers, who have the task 'to observe the situation'. Please!!

This is my opinion. Can be updated any time

I'm doing fine, thank you. I'm sure the rest of us are okay, as well.

This thread is confusing, give me a computer with rtcw on it and I am happy, lol j/k  .

I think that the U.S. is at the pinnacle of its "power."

Unless the United States starts conquering countries or colonizing Mars then not too much else we can do. Except to supply our enemies before we go to war, but that is another thread.

Well its not like our power is going out in our major cities, and our economy is suffering or anything. I love America, like the fat kid loves cake, but obviosly there is room for improvement.
