Newbie Saying Hi!

Hi, I just thought I'd say Hi and Thanks for a great sever to play on.
I'm a pretty useless player and pride myself if i get to kill at least one other player per round! But I try hard!
Oh and I love the disguise mod. Nothing like knifing those snipers on the hill. Muhahahhaa.
One question. To use the voice commands fast do I need a macro program or is there a /bind I can do in game? I'd love to be able to say thanks now and again but I'm not usually quick enough!

Welcome to the forum!
To answer your question about voice commands, I can't help you out too well as I haven't played for a couple of months and I have kinda forgot what you need to type exactly. But I think your bind should look something like this...
/bind <key> s_stop (very useful to bring sound back)
/bind <key> say Thanks
/bind <key> say Hi
where <key> is the key of your choice.

first of all, welcome to the greatest RTCW server (and I'm no administrator!!! :-) )
If, at 10 sec from the end you still haven't killed any opponent, you still can suicide with a nade, panzer of flamethrower, it's funny (when it happens to others) and usefull... ;-)
Just a joke. I hope you'll enjoy experiencing ECGN server, great and really crowdy

you can say a lot of things in the game press the button v and a list of possibles lines will come up to say hello just type
v54 to say bye v55
if it doesn't work check your controls
but i think v is standard cause i don't remember myself changing it

At first the voice commands were hard to use for me, but after awhile I started to learn what numbers do what. Now I have most of them memorized.
Important Ones :
v14 - Incoming
v21 - Medic
v22 - I need ammo
v35 - Defend the Objective
v43 - Thanks
v45 - Sorry (Newbies should use this alot j/k)
Please do not use these commands over and over again continuously, it is really annoying.
