need advise
was just wondering if someone could suggest a good mouse i use http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouse/imo_info.asp but it seems to have a few glitches. sometimes during game play ill be moving and the next thing i know im staring at the floor or ceiling and turning in circles. i have to pick it up and figure out were the hell im at.any advise would be appreciated:help:
How long have you had your mouse? They reckon you should change it every two years.
I've had my mouse for about 2 years now and it does exactly the same thing you described, so I guess it's getting a bit knackered.
I have the microsoft intelli optical wheel mouse, it was great when I bought it, but after time, I have noticed it is starting to wear out. (I guess playing online Mahjongg didnt help it).
Hope that helps.
Regards,
Giggles.

Logitech is king. The first link is a list of mice. The second one is the one I have used that has never failed me. I hear dual optical is the way to go though. i guess you have to turn your sensitivity way down because it is so accurate.

dr evil whats the problem with that mouse i have the same one and never expierienced any bugs or problems occuring while playing ??
When my last optical mouse stopped responding, (probably with over use) I noticed the under side was slightly scratched, and this was effecting the movement of the mouse, so I gave it a damn good clean with surface polish. I also put cellotape on top of the rubber feet and this helped it to glide more easily. Using different mouse mats affects it's performance too...!
And it did behave like a new mouse for a while after.
But try cleaning it first, before discarding it.
Hope that helps,
Giggles:)

i use a non-optical mouse. i have that same mouse you use on my other computer and some things happened i didnt like, not so wild as spinning in full circles though...
ive had the same mouse since like 97...its some old hewlett packard piece of junk. i clean it regularly(sometimes ingame) change the mousepad everynow and then. i was going to say frequently but then i looked at my mouse pad. i experience little to no trouble with this setup.
old school.

you probably won't notice any real difference, despite the fact that all of a sudden your mouse works propperly. I'd go with the dual optical logitech mouseman, it's the dual version of the one I use, and I have no complaints. Just don't get a cordless unless you're willing to risk losing your mouse in a fire fight because the batteries die. Also batteries get costly.
