Poor guy.

Poor Cubs.

That guy should be shot. I want a Yankees vs Cubs World Series! With the Yankees winning of course!

Cub fans putting to much blame on that poor "goat". Right after that incident the game was still 3-0 with one out and 1 guy on base. The Cubs have no one else to blame but themselves.

yea they have not been in the playoffs for 8 score or something like that.

If by "Yankees winning of course!" you mean, losing terribly and never being in the playoffs again, I agree.

Like I said before - GO MARLINS!

ya, Marlins ended up winning.

I feel so bad for this guy. You cant sit and tell me you wouldnt have done the exact same thing if you were that guy. Its instict, its part of the reason you even go to baseball games. The elusive "foul ball" and being the lucky fan to catch it.

This guy wanted to have a piece of history. He certinely got more than he bargined for. Unfortunelly, we now know his name, place of business, hobbies. His phone number also got out, which has been since disconnected. Now that the Cubs lost, its going to be even worse for this poor guy. People are blaming the loss on him... when really the Cubs lost that game all by themselves without the help of the fan.

I'm part of redsox nation so I really cant speak here....but this poor guy is gonna have to move to another city or never leave his house. Cubs fans will use him as a scapegoat as to why they lost. They had numerous opportunities to seal the deal. Im getting numerous emails from friends with his picture along with ridiculous comments. I wouldve done the same thing he did without a doubt. How many times do you go to a baseball game and get the chance to catch a foul ball? Think about it.

X, I think you may have, at least partially, misunderstood what he meant by 'winning'. ;) ;)

Talk about your 15 minutes of fame. 72 hours ago, no one knew the guy. I just did a Google search on "bartman cubs" and I got 10+ pages of links.

I'm glad I'm not him.
