That was back when those guys thought they could beat Israel in an open war. Israel mopped 'em up in six days. After that they realized they didn't stand a chance against Israel and modern weaponry and tactics.

1972 was the first major terrorist action that gained worldwide attention to their cause (I believe) so that is why I cite that as the beginning of major Islamic Radical terrorist activity.

And, as far as the religious stuff goes, I think it stems from the time of Christ. The Muslims, like many other religions and sects, blame the Jews for the death of Christ, whom they hold holy like the Christians (just not most holy)...

So, many Muslims and Muslim states openly profess (in Arabic) that their goal is the eradication of Jews everywhere. This simply is not going to happen as long as the US is around. We will not allow it. Which is why they don't like us either.

I don't want to start another multi-post argument however, citing history and people and articles and what-not... so I am done. Everyone knows where I stand.
