Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

is my signature to large/cause lag/problems/bitch rant and rave....?
i dont know of any set limits on signature size and since it is not stored on ECGN servers but locally...cant really see why there would be a limit on size.
someone edumacate me just a little on yer opinions regarding signatures.

Works fine for me, no problems.
I have medium end machines at home and at work, and it doesn't bog either of them...

They seem to be fine on my computer, and that's saying alot. I should probably think of something creative to put in my signature, it's kind of barren down there...

It does lag a little bit for me.
The problem I see with signatures though is they slow the server for everyone. I go to the forums mainly to see messages and replies, and sometime on a busy thread it takes a long time to load 15 messages just because of graphical signatures (or graphic ones

).
Also, there's a web usability issue (I used to do work in that field). Most of the time the signature are bigger and more visible than the message, which result in a cluttered screen. The eye is caught by the pictures, it becomes difficult to follow the thread. This is not the case with avatars because they're placed at left, apart from the text. That's why I don't use pictures in my sigs. I'm even thinking of removing my current one because it's useless clutter.
Looking at the above thread, compare the simplest post (Tommy Boy's "fine for me") to the most cluttered (Yadad's "just so happens"). It's much more difficult to find the contents in Yadad's one.
That's just my 3.5 cents.

Sigs are fine with me, no matter how big. Maybe it's just me, but I can pick out the message and follow it just fine, even with a large distracting sig. I guess I'm just better than some people.

About the same time I wrote this, a friend sent me this picture. Now, you remember the time I wrote on the chat line "now licking snipers, starting from bottom"? I think this picture would make the ideal signature for me...
