I'd say that review is dead-on. It's just a rehash of Max Payne with some more eye-candy and you get to play as (not with (sorry pervs)) Mona. It's incredibly melodramatic and it takes itself a little too seriously. They tried to add some of the humorous dialogue that makes the No One Lives Forever series so appealing but it doens't mix well with the seriousness in the rest of the story.

I think the gunplay is a little poor too. It's hard to put my finger on it but it just doesn't feel crisp.

I do like the rag-doll and death animations though. They're pretty cool.
