I remember back in the day, I had the coolest bus driver ever. ONly thing he ever hit was a mailbox backing up one day.

I can't fathom why they don't require seatbelts on buses. There must be a reason, it can't be cost because basics belts don't cost that much. Anyone know the reason? I am as curious as hell about it.

when you were a little kid would you have put your seatbelt on on the bus? i know i wouldnt have.
"the hell with you safety-sam"
it took me a good car crash w/nice headwound before i smartened up. youd have to have the bus driver check all the kids and you know there are always going to be the rebellious little tkyes who just dare to be stupid.

oh...thats why my brother takes me to school
the bus i used to ride went off the road due to ice on the roads. ended up getting home about an hour and a half later that day.

and still, the school districts in this country refuse to put seatbelts on buses.
most school bus drivers are the worst commercial drivers on our roads in the US. poor training mixed with low pay=crappy drivers. your tax dollars hard at work.
State (or it may be local) laws in New Jersey require that school buses have seatbelts.

cool. wish they had it here in florida.
unlike my generation where my mother's arm was my seatbelt, thhis generation is more likely to use them. they have grown up using them.

really jersey has a seatbelt law on school buses?
i wonder when that came into effect.
ive lived here all my life and i cant think of ever seeing a seatbelt in a schoolbus aside from maybe the short bus.
unless they were ripped out like the padding in the seats.
hmmm.

Am I the only one who sees SSN's signature in 3D? I could swear the blue lettres float in front of the black ones.

All school busses in NY require them too.
But I mean, that never really does happen, and when the bus does stop short or anything you just fly infront of the seat infront of you, it's not like your hurled through the front of the bus windshield.
