Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

I've recently moved into a new house and would like to add to my IKEA collection. Trouble is, IKEA won't send catalogs to people that AREN'T near a store! (I'm in Denver). I've called the nearest store to me (Houston) and they said the same thing - gotta be near a store to get a catalog. They asked if I knew anyone in the Houston area, cause they could send them a catalog and then forward it to me. Why they can't just send one to me is crazy. I was wondering if any ECGN'ers, particularly the BF42#1 peeps that live near an IKEA could send me a catalog? I could PM my address and would send you 10 bucks or so for your trouble...
Thanks and see you on the battlefield!

I think there is one here in State College. I'll look into it and get back to you.

Alright, I just checked their site and they have one in Pittsburgh, and another in Conshohocken which is near Philly. I wonder if I'm considered close enough figuring State College is about halfway between them. Where do I have to call or e-mail about getting a catalog?

EDIT: I found the link on their site and they said that they can mail one to me. So if you want, Wrister, I'll go ahead and order one.

Well, I live near 2 stores of IKEA. Are you happy with a DUTCH IKEA catalog? Just like a comic: watch the pics only!!!

Bagginses -
Thanks for helping me out.
You can try ordering it online at IKEA.com - just go to the customer service link, then 'request catalog'. Of course, you'll need to hit the zip code lottery. Or, you can call IKEA's catalog order # at 1-800-747-5642.

Alright, I went and found the link on their site and ordered it. They said that I was close enough after I put in my zip code so it all worked out. They said it will take 2-3 weeks to arrive so when I get it I'll PM you and you can send me your address. Also, don't worry about any money.

You da man! I've already PM'ed you, but can redo once it arrives.

I could beat the time of two or three weeks if air-mail will be fast.
I could go into a shop nearby and take one out to send it to you.
But it will be in German language and you will have to order from germany.
INCO-terms would be: cif
Still interested?????

After receiving your answer I instantly checked my last account statement.
I now know to things:
1. The paper of account statements includes onion-concentrate (I started to cry after seeing the balance)
2. With a higher overdraft I could send you a BMW M3 CSL in scale 1:87
See you in the Game

Yeah, Jimmy, that's right; but......
......isn't it more romantic to sit with your girlfriend and lighted candles on the couch choosing your new interior than sitting in front of your machine with her??????
I wonder that the world's population is still growing if tehtre is no romance anymore

Wow, I've never seen romance correlated with furniture catalogs...

Wrister, if you still need help, let me know. I'm only about 15 miles from the store in Woodbridge, VA.

I never knew romance was in picking furnature? Especially out of a catalog with furnature that is mass made, and needs to be assembled when delivered.
