Overwriting BIOS Password

Fri Nov 14, 2003 8:38 am

Whenever I try to enter BIOS it asks me for a password, this is my computer, and I never entered a password to begin with. I am using Windows 2000 on this old rig. Is there a way to delete the password some way because it won't let me into BIOS.?

usually, just removing the battery for a few seconds would do the trick, maybe 30 secs or so I know some are designed to hold the info for a very brief period so that if the battery were to be switched for a new one the settings would stay. this is an old trick man, remember it lol, good one to know. Good luck.

I usually remove the battery and touch something metal to the contact points, ie. a screwdriver.

Spawn as engineer and touch your wrench to the contact points.
