hey, has the server missed my admining that much :?) ive been addicted to FFXI (final fantasy 11 for those of u who dont play rpg games) i checked the total time played on there earlier, over 7 days! woo. ill have to get back on wolf and say hey again sometime. sorry bout how i didnt really give much of a warning about this :\

Admining is a volunteer position.
Admins aren't perfect.
Admins have lives and needs like anyone else.

How many times have I, or all the admins pushed !cancelvote, asked why, and never got a response? Almost 99% of the time.

Then there are the guys who say 'so and so should be kicked'.... and the admin finds out it isn't for blocking, it's because the player is pissed off at being killed by the other.

I had a guy want me to kick a player who was 'repeatedly pushing him'. Sounds ignorant right? Well, I defaulted in limbo to that 'bad' player. He was on top of a filing cabinet the whole game, unable to push anyone.

Admins have to weigh situations with potential long-term problems and act accordingly. It isn't an exact science, and we can't see everything. If you're in spec mode, you can see only slightly more than you can if you're actually playing.

Personally, I choose the team that is the weakest and has the most tards on it. I do see situations where up to half-a-dozen admins will all be on the same team. This is inapropriate. I purposefully choose a team that needs help.

Zog is currently the senior 'resident' admin at the Beach. Complaints should be forwarded to him, and he should act accordingly. Creating a public forum where nothing but vague nasty remarks get traded around will do no one any good.

Since the faust limit has been dropped, the blocking has gone way down, imho. Waves of tards do come in, still. Nature of on-line gameing, I guess. Personally I think things are a lot better now than they were when I first started playing at the Beach.

if i'm not doing the the "job' then i will step down aphid, and u can take my place. i wasnt lashing out against u at all. if the wording seems harsh than i'm, sorry. i'm having a shit time with my sister with cancer and everything happening at once. i am human, or think i am i'm far from perfect. i like playing the game also so its not like i am watching all the time, cause i'm not. what fun is it just sitting there watching the bunker, for hours and hours, theres usually 2 or 3 admins there when i'm playing, i cant do everything and that the first complaint i think i have gotten. well anyways..

I think people know me enough to know that I don't say things to kiss ass.

With that said, I think you're a great admin Ship. You've been taking it easy the last few weeks, for good reason. Good freind of mine died from cancer about 2 years ago. If you ever want to talk about it man, say the word.

One thing strikes me about all this...and it's something that I do by mistake and need to fix.... I have canned spam admin messages bound to certain keys....which I inadvertantly activate when either pushing my bind for 'hello' or 'thankyou'....or, the one that really pisses me off (a glitch that should be shot and pissed on) the ever-infamous type out a complete sentence, get blown to bits right at the end and lose everything except for the last key you pushed--which often for me means a canned admin message.

My appologies if it looks like I'm cluttering the screen with constant blurbs....most of it isn't intentional.

I know I've talked to other admins about this who also experience the same prob. Too many binds.

Well, a suggestion I have would be to watch who you have as admins.

LunaticFringe banned me just a few minutes ago for calling her an ass.

She had called me a dumbass prior and told me to stop blocking a stairway (which I was for about 30 seconds). So I did, but she kicked me none the less.

Now, if admins are going to tempban for things they themselves do, well, there are serious problems.

ehh s0vie7 dont worry about it, you were only banned for 5 minutes, just dont call admins asses and youll be fine...she had a right to kick you if you were blocking, just shrug it off

Now to begin I will say that the admins do a really good job as you all know RTCW is a game made for our enjoyment so I do not blame those admins who AT times decide to enjoy themselves and play. Now here is an idea that I think is deceit, whenever we do not have an admin in the server (i.e. Late nights when I sometimes play around 2 a.m. est) there are many childish fools that find it appealing to mess up the game; I'm not admin., but I do take names. As a regular I think it is easy to forward these names (and if possible their cdkey{I don't know the command to see this}:help: to a senior admin such as Zog,etc. and he/she in turn can forward this info to the other admins sort of like creating a "blacklist".If that player ever comes back they then will be closely watched and BANNED if necessary. Keek is right he always goes to the weak team and this does make a difference b/c we are able to see which idiots cannot take their frustrations of losing in the proper way and decide to block. In the end we must remember that THIS IS NOT the end of the world. Wolf is still a game (heroes are elsewhere (salutes)) and we must enjoy our time and go around<----it's not hard until the info. can be forwarded to the admin. I will help in what I can.

Point 1º: never Insult a admin.
Point 2º: Never, ever under any circunstance insult a woman.
Point 3º: Never stop in stairways and doors, then you should be able to play.
Point 4º: It is disgusting to get killed because someone stopped in the right middle and can be used as a target for panzers.

but you even responded with an insult, that deserves a kick ( insult + blocking= kick)
